For a 7 Days / 6 Nights Kerala itinerary starting from Thiruvananthapuram, a south-to-central Kerala route that combines beaches, cliffs, backwaters, wildlife and hill scenery without making the trip excessively rushed.
Thiruvananthapuram + Kovalam → Varkala
Arrive in Thiruvananthapuram and visit key city attractions depending on arrival time. Continue to Kovalam for the beach and lighthouse area before travelling north to Varkala. Night: Varkala

Varkala
Spend the day around Varkala Cliff, Varkala Beach and nearby coastal attractions. Keep the evening free for sunset from the cliff.

Varkala → Alappuzha
Travel north to Alappuzha. Experience Kerala’s backwaters through a houseboat, shikara or smaller canoe cruise.

Alappuzha → Thekkady
Drive towards the Western Ghats and Thekkady. Depending on arrival time, explore Kumily and a spice plantation or attend a cultural programme. Night:

Thekkady → Munnar
Start with a morning Periyar experience, then drive through the scenic highlands towards Munnar. The route passes plantations, valleys and mountain landscapes.

Munnar
Full day for Munnar sightseeing—tea plantations, Eravikulam National Park when open, Mattupetty area and scenic viewpoints according to available time.

Munnar → Kochi
Drive to Kochi. If your departure is later in the day, add limited Fort Kochi sightseeing before finishing at Kochi or Cochin International Airport.
